Talk to Olina the healer in Altaruk, and identify yourself as a VA member, using the normal "not too" procedure. I'm not sure you need to be a VA member to trigger that mission, though.

Start dialog again and again till she asks you for a favor: She says that there is a plot against her, and that some assassins have been hired to slay her. If you uncover that plot and kill the assassins, you will be greatly rewarded.

Take boat to Balic, enter Pirate's Cove and go to SW corner, where the beds are (you can rest here for free if you want, there is a fire around). Wait a moment to check if nobody is already fighting the pirates, prepare for fight then move towards the corner where some planks and mushrooms are. You will soon surprise a secret meeting among pirates. You can listen to what they say or break the meeting, but whatever that will end by a fight with 2-6 pirates (depending on your level). Slay them till you think to yourself that "Olina will be pleased".

Then travel back to Altaruk and talk again to Olina. She is so pleased that she gives you 5.000 CPs and at least 6.666 XPs (At low level the first time, you can gain up to 20.000 XPs, then 10.000 XPs, then 6.666 XPs). Of course, and while you are here, I suggest you trigger the mission again just in case you return to Balic, one of these days...
