The Veiled Alliance is a secret organisation, oposed to the Templar's goals, which will provide you a possibility to do some quests, and to earn XPs...

If you choose this side, head to the School of Thought, and talk with Chesia. She will soon propose you to become a member of the Veiled Alliance (the VA). To perform that, she explains that you will have to meet Matthias in a hidden lair.

Well, go to the ruined bathhouse in Shadow Square, and when you are close to the door, knock twice, then once. In a flash of light, you will enter the place, and, using the back door, the VA headquarters. There you will meet Matthias, who will give you some little information about the VA, and how to meet VA members. Notice that it's a safe place for using magic, wearing items or do alchemy...

He wants to make sure of your will of becoming a faithful member of the VA, so he will propose you a mission to prove allegiance: You will have to meet a secret agent in Faria's passage. This can be considered as VA's First Quest. This quest is actually rewarded 0 XPs, but it will unlock a very interesting thing, the "tavern item" searching.

Being back from this mission, you soon will discover that some people in Caravan Way and Shadow Square are secret VA members, among them are Tarill the Jeweler, Kalka the Carpenter, Jaryx the Half-Giant, and Dariya in Shadow Square... Chat with them, you will have the opportunity to choose the sentence with "Not too" included. This is very important to identify them, as they will give you some "item searching" jobs, which are richly rewarded in XPs and CPs. You will earn 1000 XPs/500 CPs at the beginning, then the reward increases depending of your level...

Second Quest, you will have to find the Lost Ledger. Normally, it might not been given before you reach level 6 (in all classes for multiclassed characters).

Third Quest, you must find Limas the halfling and report. It will not be given before you reach level 7.

Fourth Quest, you must find a Amulet. It will not be given before you reach level 8.

Fifth Quest, this time you have to find a Glass Sphere. It will not be given It will not be given before you reach level 12, or 1 Million XPs (Don't know which condition).

Note that none of these quests can be reset... They are done once for all, unlike most of the quests in DSO.
