Lords of the Dead

Lords of the Dead guild message board.

[IMG] It seems hard to believe that the sequel to SOE’s original MMORPG sandbox shooter PlanetSide is itself already six years old, but here we are as PlanetSide 2’s birthday approaches. “War has raged on Auraxis for six years, with dedicated soldiers from every empire keeping the battle alive with their fighting spirits,” Daybreak says. “This […] Continue reading...
[IMG] Let’s get something out of the way first and foremost. I am not going to count Warcraft III: Reforged as a smart thing for World of Warcraft, even though it is literally the thing I am most excited about coming out of the convention. Those models look gorgeous, the game looks great, it’s all of […] Continue reading...
[IMG] The Battlegrounds of the Gods just got bigger. During the keynote address at Hi-Rez Expo today, Titan Forge Games announced that SMITE is coming to the Nintendo switch. But more than that, folks don’t need to give up their PC or console progress to partake: The MOBA will also have full cross-platform, cross progression play. […] Continue reading...
It's easy to think at first Elsword is just a button mashing psydo-mmo but there's a lot of depth to the game once you get past the early game experience. They do a great job of laying everything out simply and then layering the complexity on top of it, so you learn everything in a way that makes sense and as a result it doesn't seem all that complex. However, if you were to skip to the end game most people would quickly be in way over their heads. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Continue reading...
[IMG] Hey, did you think all of Fallout 76’s problems would magically disappear once it launched? Welp, you were wrong. As Bethsoft plays whack-a-mole with exploits during the transition from soft launch to hard launch, players are only getting more creative and taking their efforts outside the game. Case in point: NukaCrypt. As Kotaku chronicled, the […] Continue reading...
[IMG] Oh yeah, you know a big holiday is coming up when every single game, even the ones deep in alpha, are cranking out demos and free-to-play events. Star Citizen is no different: It’s running a free-fly period starting on Black Friday next week and running to the end of November. “From Nov 23 through Dec […] Continue reading...
[IMG] The Hellgate is open for business. Again. Really and truly. HanbitSoft has been milking the Hellgate London cow for the better part of a decade now, bringing it back time and again. Now the infamous Flagship title is back on Steam as promised earlier this month, but only as a single-player game. While that’s a bummer, […] Continue reading...
In my ongoing theme, created and catering to the new and returning Guild Wars 2 player, I wanted to take a stark detour and plow the depths of Guild Wars 2's dungeons. While WvW has largely been considered the shunned, proverbial red headed stepchild of Guild Wars 2, dungeons would be like that stepchild's creepy basement dwelling uncle who people only see on holidays. [IMG] If you’ve ever wanted to become a cow or learn phrenology in a video game, you’re going to like this post: Project Gorgon now has a free demo. The outrageously detailed sandbox has been in early access since March, but in a world of free-to-play MMOs, its relatively hefty pricetag may have served as a deterrent […] Continue reading...
Hellgate: London has arrived, sadly without its multiplayer component. However, in its day, it was ahead of its time for fans of sci-fi action RPGs. You can now relive those heady days thanks to the latest Steam release of the game from Hanbitsoft. Hellgate: London will eventually be updated with the Tokyo content, but developers are still at work improving its stability and to ensure smooth gameplay.
