Member Spotlight – Soulshox
📣 Welcome to LotD’s Member Spotlight! 📣 This week’s spotlight is on Soulshox! He joins us from across the pond in the UK:
How long have you been in LotD?
I joined a few months after the release of Star Wars the Old Republic, so around May 2012. So, I have been in the community for just under 10 years. I joined after leaving a previous guild, who I had been with for 10 years after they failed to uphold their values against discrimination against one of its members. LotD for me was a natural choice to join I saw their impressive PVP skills and that it was not just a community but an extended family.
What games are you playing right now?
New World at the moment. Unfortunately, gone are the days where I could raid for 16 hours straight or level non-stop so got to max level quite slow. However loving the game and accomplishments that the company has achieved so far.
What is your all-time favorite game?
Star Wars Galaxies for sure! It was my first real MMO and I loved every minute of it. Even unlocked Jedi after grinding for so long through the hidden profession route. The complexity and sandbox nature of the game was incredible. Wish MMOs were closer to what they were back in the day.
What do you like most about LotD?
I love that we are a PVP community but not as hardcore. We do not exclude people based on skill or gear but uplift them to be better and help them reach their goals. We have a laugh and reach our goals as a community.
When do you have the best time doing in games? i.e. PvE, PvP, sieges, small matches, etc.
I love small scale PVP skirmishes and not a massive fan of zerg like engagements. However I always encourage and do every activity in any game I play. You would be depriving yourself of all the things a game has to offer for potential fun, whether it be dungeons, crafting, PVP, PVE etc.
Favorite gaming memory?
I have many but with LotD, it was when we captured the castle in Archeage. The preparation, planning and commitment we had all paid off. It was an incredible moment and you could literally feel the energy on comms.
Another special moment was at University (yes, I am from the UK) my friends and I got in to playing World of Warcraft during the Lich King expansion. We would raid 10 man Icecrown every week to get achievements so that we could get 310% mount speed skeletal flying dragons. Finally after all the hard work paid off we was soaring with the best.
What is better? Bacon or chicken wings
Chicken Wings for sure!! You can have every type of flavor garlic, hot sauce, honey mustard, Korean wings and even bacon flavoured wings. However this video on how to eat wings changed my life
