[IMG] When Star Wars: The Old Republic first introduced the Unstable Arbiter's Lightsaber with one of its random item packs, players were unhappy about it. [IMG] Not every MMO includes deities, religions, and faith in their universes, but some do to varying degrees. I've seen games that weave such institutions into the lore, while other MMOs go even further by allowing your character to pledge allegiance to a certain god or goddess and enjoy special bonuses and quests from them. If you had to pick -- [...] This article was published by the word-wranglers at Massively Overpowered. Please review our terms of use for feeds. Continue reading...
Today is a big day around the world. It is International Women's Day, a celebratory day for all females -- mothers, sisters, wives, nieces, aunts, daughters, grandmothers, all of us. In 2017 it is also attended by A Day Without a Woman, a movement to bring to the forefront the contributions of women around the world. We're taking time away from our jobs, our financial activities, even our games to show that our contributions matter. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Continue reading...
Blizzard is cracking down on violators of the terms of service for World of Warcraft - effectively banning people who are offering to help clear raids in exchange for real world money. Keep in mind, selling these services for in-game gold is fine. It's the folks offering to do it for real money that are getting the boot. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Continue reading...
[IMG] Toward the end of last year, we all did the math and figured the resurrected MMORPG sandbox Dark and Light had no chance of making its original "late 2016" target. In fact, it had missed both its fall windows for launch already. That's why it wasn't much of a surprise when in December, Snail Games admitted to a 2017 early access [...] This article was published by the word-wranglers at Massively Overpowered. [IMG] Still clinging to Windows XP? Hope you're not planning on playing Neverwinter. PWE announced back in December that it would be dropping support for the XP operating system on March 1st, which means you actually got an extra week, as that build arrived today. "As of March 1st, 2017, Neverwinter will no longer be supporting Windows XP and Direct3D 9, [...] This article was published by the word-wranglers at Massively Overpowered. [IMG] Did you chuck any cash at OrbusVR, the blocky-cute virtual reality MMO sandbox with the unusually small and short Kickstarter? It's a sure thing now: It's already met its $10,000 goal. In fact, it doubled its goal in under a day, unlocking both the pet system stretch goal and the world boss stretch goal. "Thanks for all the kind words [...] This article was published by the word-wranglers at Massively Overpowered. Please review our terms of use for feeds. Continue reading...

The overall winner has been announced as the Valkyrie. En Masse will now be going forward with the name for the new class. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Continue reading...
